Separating The Good From The Bad - Where Some Supplements Succeed Where Others Fail

It is a well-established fact that vitamins and other nutrients present in foods are absorbed better than similar vitamins and nutrients given as a food supplement. So, why does it happen? Why do so many food supplements fail to help sufficiently? And why do some supplements succeed?

Well, the cause for such a failure is simple. Food supplements differ significantly from the way nature provides nutrients. Thus, only food supplements that provide nutrients in a way closer to nature do succeed.

Here are a few of the challenges a good supplement must overcome:

  • Food supplements must provide nutrients in a way that they are protected from gastric juices in our stomach– thus avoiding destruction.
  • Food supplements must provide nutrients in the right molecular size to promote passive absorption – this helps overcome the absorption rate limit of the body and prevents nutrients in health supplements from being wasted.
  • Food supplements must be slowly released so that the body has ample time to absorb and distribute them to various tissues, process, and utilize them.

Remember that each of these factors matters. Thus, for example, when vitamin C enters the body, it undergoes absorption both via passive diffusion and active transportation using sodium vitamin C cotransporter (SVCT).

However, if one takes a high dose of vitamin C, only a small amount of it enters the body passively or through passive diffusion. High-dose vitamin tablets quickly saturate the transporting mechanism, too. Hence, when one takes 500 mg of vitamin C’s regular tablets, only a tiny amount of it is absorbed. Generally, absorption is rarely above 10-15% of the dosage value, which may decline further after taking multiple dosages.

On the other hand, using liposomal technology to treat vitamin C has multiple benefits. However, it should not be just any liposomal vitamin C, but the one with a smaller molecular size, like that below 500 nm (nanometer). Such a molecule is absorbed in much larger amounts. Thus, for example, Naturenex liposomes are just 145 nm, making them highly bioavailable.

Naturenex liposome technology is a special technology that coats each vitamin C molecule with lipids. This helps protect vitamin C, prevents its interaction with gastric contents, and promotes its absorption.

Further, Naturenex liposomes ensure that vitamin C is slowly released to the body and the digestive system. This provides ample time for the body to absorb most vitamin C. Hence, such vitamin C may have absorption rates multiple times higher than regular vitamin C, and this is proven in clinical studies.

When vitamins are absorbed slowly, such as from foods or Naturenex liposomes, the body also has enough time to process and distribute them to various tissues and utilise them properly.

Further, it is worth noticing that the human body cannot store vitamin C. That is why seafarers in medieval times developed severe vitamin C deficiency and a disease called scurvy within a few weeks of not consuming vitamin C. This just highlights the importance of consistent vitamin C supply to the body. It is something at which Naturenex liposomes vitamin C excels.

People sometimes ask about vitamin C injections. Well, injections do result in a brisk rise in vitamin C serum levels, something unachievable by oral supplements. Although high-dose vitamin C injections may have some unique health benefits, taking injections daily is not an option. So, injections are for very specific cases. Moreover, if a very high dose of vitamin C enters the body immediately, as in the case of injections, much of it would also be quickly removed from the system.

Naturenex liposomes also have another benefit: they do not irritate the gastric lining. High-dose vitamins and food supplements sometimes might cause gastrointestinal discomfort. But liposome technology helps prevent this.

Naturenex liposomes are also better because they are non-toxic, unlike tablets and gummies containing many excipients or additives like artificial colours.

Since Naturenex liposomal vitamin C is in liquid form, this is yet another reason for its quick absorption and higher bioavailability.

Yet, another thing to remember is that Naturenex liposomes are not just good for meeting daily vitamin C requirements, which is 75 mg daily for females and 90 mg daily for men. It is vital to remember that these requirements are under normal conditions. However, during periods of stress and ailments, this requirement increases considerably. In such conditions, Naturenex liposomes-based vitamin C works much better than regular vitamin C tablets – another reason some supplements succeed.

So, choose your supplements wisely. It is insufficient to just look at the dosage. It is vital to consider the form of a specific nutrient or vitamin that is provided. This makes the difference between the good and the bad supplements.

To conclude, remember that Naturenex liposomes mean better availability of vitamin C supplements. Higher intestinal retention means consistent release of vitamin C for longer periods, resulting in more consistent vitamin C blood levels and thus health benefits. Finally, Naturenex liposomes are also more stable
